International Clinical Conference Rehabilitation of Patients with War-Related Polytraumas — from the Acute Phase to Long-Term Care

About the Conference

The National Rehabilitation Centre "Vaivari" is organising an international clinical conference dedicated to the rehabilitation of patients with war-related polytraumas — from acute treatment to long-term care, restoration of functional abilities and reintegration into society.

The conference will bring together healthcare professionals, researchers and industry experts to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and experience exchange, strengthening an integrated approach to patient rehabilitation and improving the quality of care.

The aim of the event is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and experience exchange, strengthening a patient-centred approach and improving the quality of healthcare in rehabilitation.

Speakers from Latvia and abroad will present at the conference, including specialists from Ukraine, Norway and Estonia, who will share their experience working with war-related traumas.

Target audience:

  • healthcare and patient care professionals — physicians, nurses, functional specialists, clinical psychologists, etc.
  • healthcare organisers and policy makers

The programme covers the key aspects of polytrauma patient rehabilitation:

  • rehabilitation in the acute and subacute period
  • psychological support
  • prosthetics and restoration of functional independence
  • long-term care and reintegration into society
